Fish mounts can make or break a taxidermist. A true artist can complete a beautiful fish mount. Fish taxidermy is airbrushing or painting at its finest. A mounted fish or reproduction is colorless until the artist restores the colors. This is very difficult to do and a reason many studios do not offer this service.

I originally started into taxidermy learning the fine art of Bird taxidermy. Our birds are some of the finest available. Any taxidermist can put out a "bird mount" but top quality birds are difficult and time consuming to do.
